C. Venkat Subramanyam - Founder & Director

Venkat is a co-founder of Veda and has more than 16 years of hands-on experience in the investment banking business. Venkat has been a pioneer in the investment banking space in India and has been closely associated with the growth of the Indian VC/PE industry since the mid nineties. He has an enviable track record of transaction closures in private equity as well as M&A, having crafted several defining transaction across domains such as services, infrastructure and ITeS, amongst others.
Venkat is a successful entrepreneur in his own right having co-founded Mantra Consultants in 1998 (along with Vinod Kumar), a boutique investment bank based in South India, which was subsequently acquired by Ernst & Young in 2001. He was an Associate Director at Ernst & Young before co-founding Veda in late 2003.
Venkat is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He is a regular speaker in industry forums and his views on are often quoted in the business media. He enjoys strong and long standing relationships with several leading private equity funds and their managers
M. Vinod Kumar - Founder & Director

Vinod is a co-founder of Veda and has more than 16 years of hands-on experience in the investment banking business. Vinod has also been a pioneer in the investment banking industry in India, and has been closely associated with the growth of the Indian VC/PE industry since the mid nineties. He has an enviable track record of transaction closures in private equity as well as M&A, having crafted several defining transactions in the retail, food products and healthcare domains, amongst others.
Vinod is a successful entrepreneur in his own right having co-founded Mantra Consultants in 1998 (along with Venkat Subramanyam), a boutique investment bank based in South India, which was subsequently acquired by Ernst & Young in 2001. He was an Associate Director at Ernst & Young before co-founding Veda in late 2003.

Srikanth Narasimhan - Director

Srikanth heads Veda's Bangalore office and also leads the initiatives on the technology, internet and ITES sectors. He has over twelve years of well rounded experience in investment banking, private equity and corporate planning. He has advised and assisted many companies in their funding plans and M&A. He has also invested in companies, been on their boards, taken part in their growth strategies and successfully raised funds/acquired businesses for growth.
Earlier, Srikanth was with Ernst & Young, leading the private equity and M&A activities in the technology & services sectors. Prior to that, he was with ICICI Venture, the private equity arm of ICICI Bank (listed on NYSE), investing and managing a portfolio of investments in the IT/ITES sectors. He was also with RelQ Software, the leading software testing services firm in India, managing their corporate planning activities including acquisitions and fund raising. His corporate experience as well, having worked with companies like TATA Motors and TATA Technologies.
Srikanth is an MBA from IIM Bangalore and holds an Engineering degree from BITS Pilani.
Narayan Anand - Director

Anand heads the real estate, debt and infrastructure practices at Veda. Anand has over 21 years of varied experience in the areas of debt, equity syndication and financial structuring of large projects across sectors. He has successfully mobilized over USD 500 M of equity and debt for clients in the telecom, paper, logistics, distribution, cement, food and real estate sectors.
Prior to joining Veda, Anand was Vice President at IL&FS, heading their Corporate & Project Advisory business. Earlier, he had handled the corporate finance portfolio at IL&FS for large and mid-cap corporates. Anand had also worked with the Eicher Group and Zuari Agro Chemicals.
Anand is a Mechanical Engineer with an MBA from IIM Bangalore.
Venkataramana Pasumarthy - Associate Director
Venkataramana heads Veda's business development efforts. He has over 18 years of varied experience in the areas of direct equity, debt instruments, mutual funds, structured products. He has successfully managed a corpus of over USD 52 million in equity and debt investments for HNIs and Corporates.
Prior to joining Veda, Venkataramana was an Assistant Vice President at ABN AMRO Bank's Van Gogh Preferred Banking Channel, handling the mutual fund portfolio for corporates and individuals. During his stint at ABN, he won numerous awards for his excellence in managing portfolio advisory services. Earlier, he was with Stratcap Securities, a Mumbai based investment banking firm, heading the PF division for the entire Tamil Nadu Region. He has also worked with Ernst & Young and Mantra Consultants in sourcing private equity, M&A opportunities in the SME space.
Venkataramana is an MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune and holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Madras.
